I had so much fun planning and preparing for this shower. I will be the first to admit that I become a little obsessive when it comes to a project. And throwing a party is one of the ultimate projects. Parties combine many of my favorite elements: paper crafting, food creating, fabric manipulation (table cloths), some graphic design, friends...and a little washi tape.
We have four doors on along one wall. I didn't want anyone to be confused as to which door led where. I hung this on the door to the restroom oh about two weeks before the shower. The Captain asked if he could still use the facilities. I told him, only if he was wearing a dress. Just kidding, I didn't say that. Of course I told him yes!
I have long loved Wordsworth's poem Ode and this part seems quite fitting for a celebration of birth and life. I designed the print and popped it into an ever faithful white Ikea frame for the centerpiece of the buffet.
